This is one of my alltime favourite layouts, and certainly my most favourite photograph of my daughter. The photo was taken when she was only four days old, and we had come home from hospital that morning.

The layout is simply formed wth a grey background, and white velum overlay. Titles are handcut and adhered to the bottom of the vellum.

Listen. Can you hear? Faint in the background is the sound of splashing - your father is testing the bath water to see if it is too hot. There are hushed words between us - so as not to disturb you. We are trying to remember the lssons from hospital on how to bathe you. That was three days ago, and now you are home, and we are alone together. You make no noise at all. Listen - to the moment. I know that you hear it too. You hear my moment too, in all this background noise. The biggest moment in my life, which came in all this hushed silence - the moment I realise that I am a mother. Listen.
