All the Digital Calendar Kits You May Ever Want
Tuesday, December 20, 2005 at 12:49PM Searching for a Calendar Kit for next year, I began to realise there are a lot - with more even being produced right up until Christmas. So, here are all the links I can find towards 2006 Digital Calendar Kits.
Most of the below Calendar kits follow 3 formats -
- The Page Kits or Printables - each month is provided with a calendar element, background image, perhaps an overpage or quickpage element for placing a photo under or over. Some calendars are nationalistic or seasonal - in being themed towards some defined USA dates such as July 4th or having a northern hemisphere-centric definition of summer being in the May - July months but others are reasonably generic. These can further be broken down to normal wall calendar sizes, and those of desk or mini calendars.
- Month Calendar Templates - solely the calendar png file itself - you can use these on whatever backgrounds you wish to use.
The Printables
Christy Lyle has a kit called simply 2006 Calendar Kit, in a pastel colour range. This kit is available from The Digichick Boutique.
Mek & Crew sell several different Calendar Kits through Scrap Outside the Box. The Classy Version (shown here) allows you to make a two page calendar spread for any month of any year. Backgrounds, numbers, month names an week names plus 4 different styles of calendar grids are supplied. The Calendar Kit - Fun Version is similar but in brighter colours. There are also Spring, Fall, Summer and Winter Add-on kits for both these calendars - which include additional seasonal papers and wordart co-ordinates. Or you can get the whole lot - the classy, fun and seasonal add- on packs, in a mega kit called Calendar Kit - Mega Version.

One of the first calendar kits to come out which caused a lot of comments was the colloborative effort between Heather Ann Melzer and Gina Cabrera - available from Gina’s site, Digital Design Essentials or Heather’s site, Heather Ann Designs. This 2006 Calendar Kit is a simple printable set in 8 1/2 x 11 inch sizing, in pastel tonings.
Cottagearts.net has two different Calendar sizes available - the 2006 8x10 ScrapOver Calendar Pak comes all up, based on the 2005 Template pak. And a slightly larger format is available, but split into two different kit downloads - the 2006 11x8.5 Calendar/Album Pak 1 (Spring/Summer) and Pak 2 (Fall/Winter).
Kim Hill, from her website, CG Essentials, has both a 2006 Calendar kit as a printable collection, plus an Add-On pack of Calendar Elements. Olivia Meyers has added to whimsical collections for calendars at Scrapbook Elements. These are hand-water coloured. Shelle Pukas, through her website, Scrappin’ By Design or Scrapbook Elements, has a Calendar template set, which looks hand-drawn. This does not have standard 2006 months - you have to put the days in yourself, and the template at this point only goes up to 2006. However, accompanying this build-it-yourself template set, are purchaseable add-on sets of little icons. You can buy a Baby Add-ons set or a Pregnancy Milestones set - to plot a pregnancy over the 9 months (hopefully). The two addons are available separately, or with the calendar templates included.

Heather Ann Melzer also has an interesting template idea - she has a pack of CD Desk Calendar month templates. Simply add your own photos and elements to the top, print out and they are the perfect size to fit in a normal CD Case. Flip over the CD cover, and pop it onto your desk, and you have a desk calendar. Called the CD Case Desk Calendar Kit, this template set is available from Heather Ann Designs. She’s right - this would make a great stocking filler.
Scrapbook Elements themselves have 2006 Calendar Templates - you can use these up to the size of 11 x 17 inchs, or shrink down to fit a normal 8 1/2 x 11 inch format, for normal printing. The overlays are also available in the SBE Through the Year CD.
