Scrapblog of the Week (8)
Scrapability’s Scrap Blog of the Week -Week 8 2006 : Angie Pedersen’s SB Industry News
Angie Pedersen has several blogs to offer for many scrapbookers. And I enjoy them for many reasons, including the slightly more personal blog - the Blog of Me, and her marketing blog also. But my favourite has to be the Angie Pedersen SB Industry News blog - which Angie uses to announce both news of her own, and any findings from the media at large.
As her sub-heading for this blog suggests - "Manufacturer News, Product Releases, and Industry Buzz" are provided in this blog regularly as Angie finds them.
Much of this news is also available via Angie’s website, One Scrappy Site - but the great thing to do with these blogs is the fact you can RSS feed them in. This means that you will see this one, in particular, being fed into the front-end of other websites. Take a look at the homepage for UKScrappers, and under news you will find the feeds of the SB Industry News coming through. RSS Feeds also mean that I actually subscribe to this feed via an aggregator - I recommend Bloglines. In Bloglines, I have Angie’s blogs (and many more) which then announce to me that there is new content to read in any of these. Fresh and real-time content - now that’s one of the true appeals to blogs in the first place, and true values from Angie’s Scrapbooking News blog.
Angie offers another service on all her blogs for ease of use - and one which I’ve had a lot of takers for here on Scrapability. Via feedblitz, you can sign up from the SB Industry News (or the other Angie Pedersen blogs) for emails of latest content. This means that instead of having to look up the blog all the time, or even go into something like bloglines to read it, instead - an email comes through each day with any new content in it. The Feedblitz registrations are available on the sidebar of Angie Pedersen’s SB Industry News blog - just input your email address and you should be receiving those content newsletters almost every day, as Angie updates the blogs.
