But from a "I didn’t enter / I’m not allowed to enter" perspective how boring are the seemingly majority of board posts up there this week -

"It’s Tuesday, and it’s going to be a long week…"

"No call here yet"

"HOF - Who will get the Call?"

"HOF - It’s gotta be today, right?"

"What’s going on at CK today?"

"HOF Good luck and Plan Ahead"

"My Phone Rang…" [turns out to be an accountant, not Lisa Bearnson]

Any other post title with some reference to HOF ie "I did this (To Take Your Mind of HOF)"

" I give up - nighty night all" [someone waited up for a late night phonecall - hello! If you’re won it, you’ve won it - just because they can’t get you on the phone they’re not going to suddenly make you a loser. Let them wait!]

"Do you think CK reads these posts?"

"OMG HOF Call!" [Made everyone look, but was a false lead - as they hadn’t started yet]

Then you have the sleuthing threads -

"Anyone heard from [Insert name here]?" [searching for the HOF winners having gone incognito for a while]

"Who’s missing from the boards, then?" [searching for the HOF winners having gone incognito for a while]

"Secret Tooter?"

"Lot’s of lurking - anyone gonna admit you’re still here?" [re-interpretation - did you lose too?]

And god help me when someone does start logging on as a new identity and saying they won, but can’t give you their real name. How crazy and boring is that?

Good gosh, just shut up about it. No, I love you guys really - you’re a great Pea-Bunch, but honestly! Just get on with life, and the real subjects at hand, not boring those of us who have little interest in a phone call, and have gone there to read or talk about scrapbooking. It would be okay if perhaps this was confined to the PUB board - publications being the choice of those who frequent it (and therefore simply avoided by those of us bored by the subject) - but these type of threads are being posted everywhere - digital’s not safe, general scrapbooking’s not safe.

Personally, the whole secret hush-hush thing enforced on all the rest of the world by Creating Keepsakes at this time of year is painful. Dear CK - Let the people announce their success, and the rest of us get over it more quickly than you are currently doing. Ring them all at once also - why does this take so long? Surely you have more than one person able to pick up a phone (yes I know some people like to say they spoke personally to Lisa - but share the load and the associated long waiting period). Don’t bore me into hating the darn contest.

horray!!! This is EXACTLY what I needed today, good humor. I needed this kick in the ass in other areas of this scrapbookign world. WHO CARES in the end what does this HOF stuff matter anyways?!!! I have to admit I laugh at alot of ths posts though..but couldn't they just keep it in one thread?!

THANK YOU!! As someone who doesn't enter that stuff, it gets super tedious to hear nothing but HOF stuff for days....weeks. Good luck to those who entered, but enuff already!

haha ohh this was to funny... what I feel really bad about is the posts now trying to guess who the HOF are - wouldn't it be awful if you entered and saw people guessing it was you who was one of the HOF when in actual fact - you didn't get a call! how sad would that be!!
