Scrapblog of the Week (19)
Scrapability’s ScrapBlog of the Week Award for Week 19 - Petra’s Scraptastically Yours
The Top Digi Blogs site has many blogs worth reading. I notice that today someone appears to have hacked in there, with the top listed blog being currently one which doesn’t appear to have anything to do with scrapping. But normally it ranks digiblogs according to their views per day. The scrapability blog normally battles out for top place there - never getting there as far as I could tell - apart from one day where Petra happened to note it for me. Take a look at Petra’s blog, and the Complex Woman post - she’s captured a screenshot with this blog ontop (never knew it) and hers just below - I’ve got to laugh at that one.
Petra, known as Possum on the boards, is a fellow anitpodean. She’s an Aussie, but so are many good scrappers, so this kiwi won’t hold it against her that she comes from the bigger island hanging over-top of my own. And many digital scrappers will know of Petra, because she designs a little bit, is on the creative teams for some other designers, and is active through several digital forums. Take a look at her blog for her latest impressions of the Ultimate Digital Scrapping contest being held at digiscrappin.biz. Petra has formulated the idea to leave 20 comments for some slightly unloved layouts in the competition this week. She also understood the vein of humour I allowed for myself in blogging about the comments popularity contest at the Ultimate galleries. Her idea is a great one, and one I’m about to accomplish myself. I’ve been spending a few minutes everyday over at the gallery, commenting on layouts all over the place, particularly on those that sit beside the top comment gatherers.
Petra’s blog is nothing highly unusual, as a personal scrapblog - but that’s why I’m choosing it. She shares digital freebies on it occasionally, layouts she’s completed, thoughts on scrapbooking - particularly digitally, and thoughts on many other things in her world. That’s why I love it, because she combines scrapbooking with a geniune love of the craft, and a sensible big dose of reality and humour also. Go take a read - and see if you can take her for one day to the top of the Top Digi Blogs listings.
