Scrapblog of the Week (20)
Saturday, May 20, 2006 at 09:07PM Scrapability’s ScrapBlog of the Week Award for Week 20 - Blogher
Okay, so my Scrapblog of the Week isn’t actually a scrapping blog, but as scrapbooking is predominantly a female craft at this point, and many of us are finding such profound voices in this craft, then it’s worth celebrating this amongst the blogging world of females in total.
Blogher is a group amalgamation celebrating Her Blogs. There is a blogroll list of blogs by females (you can add yours too), forums for female blog writers, and Blogher is also reasonably famous in the Blogosphere (I actually hate that word) for running an annual conference for female blog writers.
Blogher, run by female contributors, knows the power of blogging for females, and there are many credits for the crafting blogs out there. Hot list categories for blogs - Business and Careers, Politics and News and importantly for us - Hobbies, indicate that this website realises the power of the female voice through the internet, and acknowledges all we craft bloggers also. In fact, there is a guestbook message on Scrapability in February of this year, indicating Blogher featured this blog as a profile back then. And in May, the Stop Digital Piracy blog hosted at Jen Strange’s Digiscrapping Blogs, is profiled. How great is that one? Keep on blogging, everyone - this is invigorating stuff.
And Debra Roby, who does the Crafting Blog profiles has a nice little piece on the liking of craft bloggers for those little blog buttons for links. Yep - Debra - if you have a Craft Blogher button for me, I’d be on it like a shot.

The "powers that be" are supposed to be working on buttons for each topic area of BlogHer. So far all I think they have are mommies.
As soon as a craft button appears, I'll be all over it!!
