What Do People Want?
Wednesday, June 20, 2007 at 07:43PM Lessons from the Scrapbook Page: Real Women Scrap TV - A New Chapter
This is Tasra Dawson’s Real Women Scrap blog, with a link taking you to a poll she has up there. I’ve spoken about Tasra and Real Women Scrap before, as I’m currently reading her very inspiring book.
Tasra’s poll has been responded to by over 100 women so far, and she asks what they want to see more of on the online broadcasts that accompany the concepts from Tasra’s book. I responded too - but you will see my responses statistically are found on the two areas which are LEAST on other scrapper’s minds.
My responses were towards Life Lessons and Inspiring Stories from Real Women. Perhaps it’s that time of my life, whilst I feel my own need to again, appreciate life itself. I found the results (so far) niceto see that people don’t want celebrity interviews, or scrapbook industry news - both are catered for on other websites which have those niches particularly well settled.
What I found surprising (perhaps niavely) is that the current results suggest that scrappers answering this poll, just want more scrapbook projects from Tasra’s site. I had thought that projects also were well catered for by other websites, magazines, and the like. Instead, perhaps Tasra has a completely new audience for these, which appreciate her methods of introducing these via video broadcasts online.
Here’s a snapshot of the current poll results. Go and take the poll yourself, if you agree or disagree with the responses thus far. And oh - the book’s brilliant too!

The poll on my blog has been a real eye-opener as I thought life lessons and inspiring stories from real women would be more popular. But I think you're right that there is a growing number of women/scrappers looking for simple projects, unique ideas, and a little inspiration thrown in too! I'm happy to give viewers more of what they want...and we'll keep showing real stories and lessons too because that's what inspires me! Thanks for letting your readers know!
