The Pod Novel - Day Sixteen
A complete muck up today. I had put down about 2000 words, finished off a scene, then transported this over a USB dongle to sit on my laptop. Only the software I used had an upgrade today, and although that went okay, it left the icon on the desktop pointing to the dongle instead of My PC. So, unbeknownst to me, my two hours of work this morning was being saved onto a dongle, which would then be overwritten by my copy over from the PC.
Gone, that work. I have to redo it tomorrow. This afternoon I have to go to work, and probably stew over my own stupidity. :-)
