I'm On Holiday, and in the Meantime...
Sunday, August 3, 2008 at 07:16PM Sorry to say, that just as I got to the interesting bit of 30DC and How To Think Sideways, plus Blog Mastermind, I am off on a family holiday. It is the six weeks of summer school holidays here in the UK afterall. So, planning not being the best, all these challenges came at me a few weeks before I was booked to go.
I am taking a laptop to work on some writing projects, but doubt that the place I’m going to will have web connectivity. It’s meant to be about family and relaxing, afterall. Which means that when I get back in eight days time I will have a heck of a lot to catch up on.
Thankfully, Ed Dale and co promise that we are through the most important stuff for 30DC for a while, and it has been very intensive, but I found Day 3 stuff with competitor analysis incredibly interesting. I still haven’t quite defined my own niche as yet, and it is one following my heart rather than where the money might be - but I have a lot to think about, and perhaps a jaunt through some woods, and some swims in a heated pool will do me the world of good.
For Sally, who left a comment on my last 30DC blog entry, I’ve responded on comments for you. But I just wish I was around to help you out, because I do think you will get a lot of benefit from the 30DC, even if you are virtually doing it alone, like me.
I’m going to miss out on the How To Think Sideways Week 3 and Blog Mastermind Week 2 also, and have to play catchup there. But I guess August is going to be my busiest ever in learning and application. So, I won’t make the challenge within 30 Days, but that was never my aim - it was to learn. And boy am I learning and thinking at the moment.
See you in a Week, then. And I’ll be doing some writing and lots of reading while away, and it will be lovely.
